It was too short a read for me, and would it be too much to have sequel or can it be here so I can just say onto the next, without a doubt though I was hooked from the moment Kim hit on Raze He s dark angel and all, and she s all prim and proper, but the combination that these two create just makes itwow I like how Kim isn t afraid and when she made the first move, I was like yes not after what she s been through I m sure we haven t heard the last about these two but there s definitely It was too short a read for me, and would it be too much to have sequel or can it be here so I can just say onto the next, without a doubt though I was hooked from the moment Kim hit on Raze He s dark angel and all, and she s all prim and proper, but the combination that these two create just makes itwow I like how Kim isn t afraid and when she made the first move, I was like yes not after what she s been through I m sure we haven t heard the last about these two but there s definitelyto this story, and I can t wait Being drawn into a battle he was not prepared for yet, Raze went to Chicago to see just what the minions had in mind for him Knowing it might be a trap, he called on the Angel Adrian that was tasked with keeping the Fallen Vampires alive to live with their punishment Looking for a release and a distraction for the night, Kim McAdams hit on the handsome, stranger Raze For some strange reason she feltcomfortable with him than she had with anyone in such a long time, if ever Not being Being drawn into a battle he was not prepared for yet, Raze went to Chicago to see just what the minions had in mind for him Knowing it might be a trap, he called on the Angel Adrian that was tasked with keeping the Fallen Vampires alive to live with their punishment Looking for a release and a distraction for the night, Kim McAdams hit on the handsome, stranger Raze For some strange reason she feltcomfortable with him than she had with anyone in such a long time, if ever Not being able to tell Kim the truth about what he was, Raze knew something would have to give, soon Prequel Actually liked this one till the end The ending leaves it a bit unresolved for me, but since I missed this one and read Touch of Crimson first so glad I took the time to go back to read this one Getting a little bit of the Vampires point of view was neat To see how they are really kind of working together for the greater good was something I didn t get in Touch of Crimson Got a new Kindle for Christmas and immediately found this novella free onyeah Rating 2 out of 5There was nothing special about this book It was so average and boring, that I was close to giving it 1 star The good thing was, a it is was free, b it is short. The characters are characterised below Raze a paranormal law enforcement agent Big, strong, dangerous Insatiable appetite Used to one night stands in fact, the novella begins with an one night stand which resulted in impaired senses that led to a dead body on his doorstep Kim is posh and high class, not wh Rating 2 out of 5There was nothing special about this book It was so average and boring, that I was close to giving it 1 star The good thing was, a it is was free, b it is short. The characters are characterised below Raze a paranormal law enforcement agent Big, strong, dangerous Insatiable appetite Used to one night stands in fact, the novella begins with an one night stand which resulted in impaired senses that led to a dead body on his doorstep Kim is posh and high class, not what Raze is usually used to She does not normally do one night stands, but is willing to bend her rules for Raze predictable very After their one night, they both realise that the have a connection Bad guys enter the story Raze vanquishes them all Returns to his fated female End of story It was a little confusing about the differences between the angels, watchers, fallen, etc I had to keep flipping back to the glossary in the beginning to keep everything clear. This was pretty good, the story was better than I expected, but the smexy times were a bit of a disappointment One gal who s reviews I follow, said this one should be read after book 2 And even though I haven t read book 2, or even book 1, I would have to agree I had no idea who any of the people were and had no reference to most of the things they were talking about Sometimes I can deal with that, but I m a stickler for reading a series in order And even though this book technically comes This was pretty good, the story was better than I expected, but the smexy times were a bit of a comes first, I still felt like I was dropped into the middle of an ongoing story line and that bugs the shit out of me Also Raze is a stupid fucking name That being said, I d like to see where his and Kim s story goes I d also like to see what else happens in the other books But it s definitely an if it goes on sale if it offered on KU type of curiosity Not an 8 dollar a pop curiosity. Also on a weird side note the cover of this changed on goodreads while I was reading it And while this cover is a serious improvement, the other cover fit a few challenges that I m doing right now which was why I plucked it off my kindle to read next So not really a criticism, and not even book related but apparently I m annoyed enough about it that I find the need to bitch about it that is all.Women didn t connect with him beyond the physical, he didn t give them enough of himself to get that close It wasn t deliberate on his part he just didn t work that way He d dealt with infatuation and even sexual obsession that women mistook as love, but it was always fleeting Quickly come and gone But Kim she needed what he was capable of giving It moved him that for once he could fulfill a need that wasthan skin deep. Her hand on his face slid upward, her fingers tracing the arch of his brow I m glad I found you He pressed his lips to her forehead, wondering what she saw in him that put warmth in her eyes What if you re the best thing that ever happened to me Am I going to spend the rest of my life wondering what could have happened if I d been strong enough to try I don t want to live the rest of my life with those questions I m pretty sure I m the worst thing that s ever happened to you, he muttered Let s clear that up now And I m pretty sure you could turn into a werewolf during full moons and I wouldn t care What Or maybe a troll on Wednesdays Maybe you re a vampire, and that s why I haven t seen you eat Christ He couldn t help it his lips twitched with the urge to laugh Which was just part of her magic He was a different person with her And he liked being that guy Liked being her guy The only good thing I can say for this book is that it was short I m not typically one to strongly dislike a book but for this I have to make an exception Fallen angels who lost their wings and souls for falling in love with a mortal So they are turned into Vampires And what the heck, why not throw in some rabid lycenthropes too Really I feel like my hands just suffered from some kind of freaky finger diarrhea just from typing that The main charactors are nothing to rave about either The The diarrhea just from typing that The main charactors are nothing to rave about either The main woman decides to pick up the main man, a fallen angel Vampire when she sees him in a bar obviously looking for a one night stand and decides based on nothing that a fling with him would be just the thing to help her get over her trauma riddled life But OH WAIT They fall madly in love with eachother, again based on nothing All of this dispite the fact that the main man is described as a womanizer who will have quicky sex with any willing and available woman There was nothing believable about this book and nothing engaging enough to encourage me to suspend my disbelief But I did like the cover art I am still a bit confused to tell you the truth This story is a short story with all the characters that were introduced there was no background on them It was hard to keep straight who was who what they did The romance part of the story was the only part that made sense Although with the 3 main sexual encounters of the 2 main characters Raze Kim the last encounter is the only one that was hot an steamy The 1st two where skipped over a tease to be honest Which is a shame because Sy I am still
